ACCIONA took part in the European Infrastructure and Renewables Finance Exchange from 30 to 31 May in Lisbon. The event, organised by Proximo, was attended by more than 200 European industry leaders, including public authorities, financial development institutions, institutional investors and infrastructure project developers, who shared their experiences and examined the future challenges of financing European infrastructures.
The two-day event included various plenary sessions as well as other more innovative formats such as “ideas laboratories” and discussions in which the audience was invited to interact with these industry leaders, sharing their diverse opinions.
On the first day, Alberto Salamanca, Global Head of Proposals and Transactions in ACCIONA’s concessions business, took part in one of these interactive discussions that analysed the past, present and future of public-private partnership models (PPP) in Europe.
During the session, Alberto Salamanca shared various success stories from ACCIONA’s concessions business of PPP projects that are coming to the end of their concession periods. The aim was to analyse the way in which they have been managed so that they serve as a guide for future projects.
